At a high level, Blizzard said that some skills have been buffed, while others have received adjustments 'for improved playability and performance.' Multiple Legendary items have also been buffed, while Blizzard has taken a close look at how each class performs in Greater Rifts. It said it's 'made several changes to bring as many gameplay styles as close in line to each other as possible, with a focus on the most popular or requested builds.' Among the redesigned runes is Bloodshed for the Barbarian's Battle Rage. After the change, its description is as follows: 'Deal damage equal to 20% of your recent critical hits to enemies within 20 yards every 1 second.'

There's still work to be done, but we're making improvements every day. There is still a large Diablo II community around the world, and we thank you for continuing to play and slay with us. This journey starts by making Diablo II run on modern platforms, but it does not end there. See you in Sanctuary, adventurers. This week's update for Diablo 2 is apparently part of the developer's initiative to.
And I was fairly adamant on not going down that path again of dealing with two platforms; I just got tired of dealing with having to jump through so many hoops with my Mac when it came to games. A bit frustrating since Apple is on such an aggressive upgrade path with hardware and software, but it's a testament to Blizzard that they are making such a great effort to keep their games playable on modern platforms. I'm currently downloading the installer(running painfully slowly, I might add)and look forward to being able to play D2 again, and hopefully, Starcraft will follow soon, as well. Even though I'm enjoying both D3 and SC2, it's still fun to boot up the older games, because even with dated graphics, the gameplay in both games is still solid. I think that's the reason why people still want to play them; At a time when most games eventually just die out, people on Battle.Net still want to play 16-year-old games, and you just can't say that about many games or game companies.
