SP STUDIO LIGHTING. SP Studio Excaliber 3200 Flash. The SP Excalibur monolights are on the cutting edge of professional quality lighting. Canon EOS 5DS R Tamron SP 70-200mm F/2.8 Di VC USD. I haven't used it without. 47 in Octabox. Browse Gallery of Sp 3200 assembly pictures, images, photos, GIFs, and videos on imgED. How to take great photos with studio and small flashes. The manual mode just fires what you tell it to. A SP-Systems Excalibur 3200 with umbrella.

I had to call and confirm this and then order a second set. So that was a bummer. I bought this as part of the BH kit with the battery pack. With the battery pack you can take well over 100 full power pics and on quarter it's about 300 or so. I lost count. I did use it to shoot with at my last wedding and I was able to do all of the formals, as well as cake cutting, toasts, etc shots during the reception. The battery pack is a little heavy but I use clamps to hold it on the stand so I am free of any cords.

Disabled automatically when a sync cord is plugged in Yes. Switch to enable/disable Sync Connection 1/8' mono phone plug. Can also be triggered via optional remote control connected to dedicated RJ-11 (telephone) connector. 1/4' mono phone plug Umbrella Holder Yes, built-in to case.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Anonymous from No Support for this product. I bought this kit and I have owned it for not even a year. I've used this system at three weddings and the dc function stopped working during my third wedding. The AC port however does still work.

I find that with professional models you can get away with more sustained shooting, but with amateurs a little break is always helpful, if only for a few seconds. The Nikon SB-800 had the dome diffuser off, but the wide angle flap down.

The amount of ambient light and strength of the sun also kept me using the SB-800 instead of my SB-900 which will shut down if it starts overheating. Yes, it saves the flash, but a flash that stops working mid-shoot, while under normal circumstances is frustrating. I’ve heard good things about the SB-910’s thermal shutoff. Hopefully they have extended the range of heat allowed, or figured out a way to get rid of the heat more efficiently. I could have just as easily used a battery powered monolight such as my SP-Systems Lancerlight 160 or an Elinchrome Ranger. I choose to use a smaller flash only for ease of movement.

Auto Power Dump Yes, slow bleed of excess power. Yes, Flash will fire and recharge after a power reduction. Available Colors White, Black, Yellow, Green, Pink. Upgrades A lower powered unit can be upgraded to a higher power unit for $25 plus the price difference between the two. Not Available. Warranty 2 years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by holster from great light.a ton of power.awesome out I bought this product after debating between this and the quantum. I decided to get this because I own other Excaliber monolights and they are workhorse lights without the price. On the back, the light output is determined by a rocker switch that you can set to full power, half power or quarter power. Yes, it would be nice to have a slider switch like the other excaliber or quantum, however for the price it is not a deal breaker and i usually just have it on quarter power or sometimes half. I used full power once because there was NO other light source.but I did it as a test. I still had a ton of power at 100 ISO in a dark room.

To start, set your camera on manual, with a shutter speed somewhere between 1/30 and 1/100 (1/100 is about the fastest the lights will sync before seeing the shutter curtain’s dark streak along the top, unless you’re using a Pocket Wizard or specific flash models that will trigger faster). If you’re only using flash to light the scene, set the shutter to 1/100 (or the highest flash sync speed), this will also give you a good starting point from which you can move later. There are times when you want total control over all the lighting in the scene, as in a studio setting, and there are other times when you want the ambient light to play a part in the scene. This is usually the case in larger environments when it’s not possible to light huge spaces. Although there are millions of ways to approach lighting with flash, I try to remember to keep the effect of the flash hidden (unless I want to make it the focal point;). If you can light a scene well and keep the flash hidden, you’ve done well.

Azhagi tamil software. When it did work I was pleased with the results that came from the system. I've assisted another photographer who has a Lumedyne system and while yes the cost is about $1600.00 more than this product you should save yourself the money and trouble and buy a quality product like a Lumedyne system. The results from that system are impeccable. Rated 4 out of 5 by Anonymous from Right size and power Needed a small AC/DC light strobe for economy wedding assignments so I purchased the Excaliber 3200 AC/DC unit. The customer wanted a few wedding photos at the baseball diamond where they met and I wanted something light and economical. Well it was in the 90's so no baseball diamond, but in the church, one 3200, softbox and an oversize lightstand did the trick.

But, I have no concerns about it breaking or anything. It is blue - no color choice there. At first I thought it was a bummer. However, I can quickly tell it apart from the other monolights just by color so it turned into a plus. If you own another excaliber monilight and bought the transmitter kit that works with it that is based off of AC power, you are going to need a different set for the DC power. BH's website is wrong as of this writing.

There is almost absolutely no support for this product. The manufacturer has no way of repairing this light nor does B&H. I've scoured the internet for companies that can and I have had absolutely no luck. I've also tried to buy a new charger and DC cable for the battery itself and was not able to do so through either place. B&H sells a product that they can't supply additional parts for. I feel that this should be a disclaimer when buying this poor product. When it did work I was pleased with the results that came from the system.

I would take shots in succesion and find the color different on almost every shot. This meant for more PS editing after the shoots. I have used these for 6 years daily. Bought the 2 light kit and have never had any failures or service required. Consistant color, well built. Have had them knocked over numerous times and outside of a deny in the reflector they are perfect. I bought some alien bees 3 years ago and both are retired with minimal use as they quit working.

Comes with the 'air' cushioned stand so your light wont hit hard when you release the knob. Price is great. Love the bundle that comes with, very nice put together. Strong modeling light. Great for outdoors.

Would be nice to have more than 3 settings, but at the price, and with the results, I'll live with it!

Why I wanted this unit was because I can use it as a unit powered by AC or DC. In both cases it performs gerat - no difference between the two.

Flash can be unruly at times and can really get away from you. Sometimes it take a heavy hand, sometimes you need just a touch. It’s the never ending struggle in flash photography. How to light it? Lately I’ve been mixing big and small flash together. Using the big flash for the heavy lifting and small speed lights for smaller highlights or even the key light, if it’s close enough.

It can sometimes look nice to incorporate the lens flare into the shot, but I was looking for a clean silhouette and the less flare the better. Lens flare is from unwanted light striking the lens glass. It manifests itself in two basic forms, a haze that can wash out the deep shadows of a silhouette, and dots of rings of light coming from the direction of the light source.

Also had trouble using wireless controllers with them. The Excalibers seem to work with any wireless system and have never once failed to fire. I am going to buy 2 more of the 6400 series since the ab 1600's quit working completely. Wish I would have followed my gut and bought the Excalibers but everyone said the Bees were great.

I would have used the Nikon i-TTL, but there was too much light, and the wind was really whipping, so I decided to trigger the flash with a radio transmitter to ensure it would fire each time. The flash was set to M 1/4 power. I was trying to balance the ambient light with the flash. I had to keep the shutter speed below 1/160th for the radio transmitters, and wanted the sunset to be darked a bit more than the flashed area to get some real deep colors in the sky and mountains. The ambient it about 2 stops under normal exposure, and the flash is right on.

3d max 2016 free download. If you are new to the market like I was when purchasing my first set of lights and can afford the little extra for a better product I would recommend doing so. I'm very dissapointed with this monolight, It's too big and the power is not as good as I expected.

OK, tried the octabox at a shoot yesterday evening. Found my AB800 mount was cracked and with windy blowing it kept moving the octabox as it is quite long modifier. The light quality seems like more contrasty than medium softbox (24x36) that I use most of the time. Coverage seems quite decent for full body shots.

Not available Both can be triggered wirelessly with standard remote controls (including Pocket Wizard) and appropriate sync cords. Fuses Resetable Circuit breaker built into power switch. Turn unit off and back on to reset.
